As a Nacelle and Hub Mechanical Assembly Technician, you’ll transform drawings into reality—assembling nacelles, hubs, and drive trains that enable renewable energy at scale.

Your Impact

• Assemble wind turbine mechanical systems with hand and power tools, torque equipment, and overhead cranes.
• Read and apply work instructions and engineering drawings to deliver first-pass quality.
• Execute torquing, alignment, and precision fit-up of gearboxes, bearings, shafts, and related components.
• Complete safety checks and maintain 5S standards to prevent injuries and ensure readiness.
• Hit production takt times and help your team achieve daily and weekly output goals.
• Stage, lift, reposition, and remove materials and assemblies as required.
• Collaborate with Quality, PQA, and Engineering on process improvements, troubleshooting, and root causes.
• Support internal audits and contribute to continuous improvement.
• Assist other production lines and electrical assembly when needed.

Must-Haves

• High school diploma or GED.
• Mechanical certifications or technical training.
• 3+ years in mechanical assembly or heavy manufacturing.
• Comfort reading work instructions, blueprints, and technical documentation.
• Experience in wind, automotive, or industrial equipment assembly.
• Hands-on mechanical aptitude; safety- and quality-first mindset.
• Team-oriented approach and the urgency to thrive in a fast-moving environment.
• Accountable, dependable, and task-completion focused.
• Positive attitude with eagerness to learn and advance.
• Overhead crane experience; able to obtain and maintain crane operator certification (required).
• Proficiency with torque, pneumatic, hydraulic tools, and precision measurement.
• Pass a respiratory fit test (required) and work comfortably at heights.
• Plus: familiarity with ISO 9000:2000 quality practices.
