Musical/Theatrical Production Director #2

TITLE: Musical Director #2

SUMMARY: Reporting to the Building Principal, the Musical Director #2 is responsible for teaching and rehearsing all songs in an annual all-school musical production.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Holds auditions.

Attends all rehearsals.

Attends three performances.

Coordinates and collaborates with Music Director #1 on all aspects of the musical to create a theatrical experience.

Works with hired sound and equipment companies to run music and microphone cues during performances.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Current member of the Oxford Education Association.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to remain in a stationary position for extended periods and/or position oneself to demonstrate technique; move up to 25 lbs. Accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities to perform the functions.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work is generally performed primarily indoors and predominantly in a school classroom or in the school auditorium.
