Title: Music Operations Coordinator
Location: Remote (PST Preferred)
Duration: 6 months
Compensation: $25-35/hr
Work Requirements: US Citizen, GC Holders or Authorized to Work in the U.S.
Support end-to-end bespoke music supply chain — from supplier onboarding and contract execution through delivery processing, metadata management, and asset ingestion into the data asset management system. You'll work across Ops, Creative, and Production to keep music moving from ingestion to product.
Responsibilities
Metadata & Quality Assurance
Review and validate metadata documents (artist names, genre, moods, tags, writer splits, etc.)
Assist with metadata QA reviews and clean-up for back catalog
Maintain data integrity and consistency across the full collection
Classify audio assets by vibe, mood, cultural context, and best-use recommendations for ads and UGC content
Music Delivery & Ingestion
Facilitate receipt of all new approved music documentation from suppliers
Enter new music and artist deliveries into DAM; ensure complete and accurate data for ingestion
Verify formatting, metadata accuracy, and asset completeness
Work with Music Production and Audio Librarian to get files uploaded and available quickly and consistently
Copyright & Compliance
Monitor and ensure copyright compliance across the catalog
Collaborate with internal teams to address IP issues or concerns
Must-Have
3+ years of administrative experience, preferably in an arts/music organization
Strong proficiency in Google Workspace and Excel (Drive, Sheets, Docs, Excel, etc)
Comfortable using AI tools in day-to-day work
Experience with music industry contracts and copyright
Strong interpersonal communication skills
Experience multitasking and prioritizing in a fluid, fast-paced environment
Ability to communicate and work well with creatives; thrive in a team environment
Nice-to-Have
Experience with digital asset management systems (DAMs) and music metadata standards
Experience with audio classification/tagging for mood, cultural context, and use-case fit
Experience with digital service providers (DSPs) and DDEX standards
Knowledge of copyright laws and regulations
Familiarity of AI generative music tools and prompting
Proficiency in ProTools or other DAW software
Music/audio production degree or equivalent experience
Familiarity with workflow automation tools
