We welcome candidates with relevant MUMPS experience from a range of application environments, including InterSystems Caché or IRIS, who meet the technical qualifications below.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

•    Perform unit testing and support regression, user acceptance, and release validation testing; investigate failures, validate fixes, and document results.

•    Follow established coding, version control, code review, security, and release practices; maintain traceability to requirements and defects.

•    Collaborate with the Principal Architect, analysts, and testers to clarify requirements and resolve issues; prepare technical notes and implementation, release, and troubleshooting information.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

•    Hands-on MUMPS development experience, including modifying existing routines and working with globals, data structures, and program flow.

•    Working knowledge of FileMan, including files, fields, data dictionaries, and accessing or updating application data.

•    Working knowledge of List Manager and the ability to understand existing screens and associated application actions.

•    Understanding of XML structure and the ability to read and interpret structured data.

•    Ability to investigate code and data issues, implement fixes, and validate changes using software development practices such as testing, version control, and defect tracking.

•    Clear communication and technical documentation skills, with the ability to collaborate, solve problems, and learn unfamiliar parts of an application.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS DESIRED:

•    Strong FileMan experience, particularly with complex data dictionaries, nested subfiles, cross-references, and indexes.

•    Experience independently resolving complex defects, assessing the effects of code or data changes, evaluating implementation options, or contributing to peer code reviews.

•    Prior experience supporting Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) applications or projects.

•    Experience enhancing List Manager screens, implementing XML parsing or generation, working with XML schemas or XSDs, or supporting software patches and releases.

About Company

We are inspired by the missions of our clients, who are responsible for protecting the safety of our nation and the health of our citizens. Since our launch in 2000, we have focused on working side by side with our clients as a dedicated government IT contractor in order to understand their needs and challenges at a granular level. This intimate collaboration has allowed us to identify areas for improvement and innovation that result in more effective solutions. One example is our unique MARQ methodology, a proven hybrid that allows Agile, ITIL, PMBOK and other frameworks to mesh seamlessly in virtually any project environment.

We design and deliver advanced, reliable solutions to support our client’s missions — even in the most high-pressure, mission-critical environments. In order to optimize the value we provide, we maintain a flat organizational structure — allowing clients to work more closely with the practitioners who are doing the work, and resulting in more effective solutions. And, because we recognize that our client’s needs evolve continuously, we have invested in our own R&D division, IntrafaciX, which enables us to deliver new solutions as quickly and efficiently as possible.
