Position Title: Mulvane Student Gallery Assistant (FWS)

Position Summary:

Gallery Assistants welcome visitors into the Mulvane Art Museum, address questions, and create a comfortable environment that encourages learning and enjoyment. Gallery Assistants will also help keep the museum secure and its spaces cared for. They support senior staff members on museum projects, programs, and initiatives.

Essential Functions:
-Greet and interact with visitors.
-Record visitor attendance.
-Answer phones.
-Monitor galleries and check security camera displays.
-Perform basic care duties for gallery spaces.
-Work with Mulvane staff on projects, touring groups, events, and exhibitions.
-Perform errands around campus.
-Attend all required staff meetings and trainings.
-Perform additional job-related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
-Students working toward an art, art history, history, or education major or minor, preferred.
-Students in any major/minor program will be considered for this position.
-Must be reliable and professional.
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
-Independent and motivated student worker.

Preferred Qualifications:
-Interest in Museums and/or History
