Location: 4297 MAIN ST, LA PLACE, LA, 70068 Multisite Maintenance Technician JOB DESCRIPTIONA McDonalds Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the proper functioning and maintenance of equipment and facilities within McDonalds restaurants. This includes troubleshooting and repairing kitchen/customer service equipment, HVAC systems, refrigeration units, and other mechanical systems. They perform routine inspections, conduct preventative maintenance, and respond to maintenance requests. Additionally, they may collaborate with other team members, manage inventory of spare parts and adhere to safety protocols. The role requires technical skills, problem-solving abilities and a commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.This role is critical for the company because you will:Be in the know: Conduct routine maintenance and safety checks on equipment and building systemsLead the experience: Ensure the maintenance meets and exceeds food safety and storage standards of excellenceCore Responsibilities:Perform routine preventive maintenance across all propertiesHandle work orders for plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general repairsConduct regular property inspections and safety checksRespond promptly to maintenance requests from maintenance schedulerUpdating work orders, writing notes about services performed and closing requests upon completion via online portalCoordinate with contractors and vendors as needed for additional troubleshootingMaintain clean, professional common areas and building exteriorsRotating on-call weekend/evening schedule for emergency responseUpdating work orders, writing notes about services performed and closing requests upon completion via our online portal.Notifying management when parts orders are needed for repairsRequirements & Physical Demands: Physical Strength: Must be able to frequently bend, reach, ability to push/lift 75 pounds, climb ladders, bending at waist, sitting, kneeling, climbing, walking, crouching as job may require, ability to work in extreme temperatures, working in high noise levels requiring hearing protection, working around lubricants, solvents, batteries, cleaning fluids, paintsAvailability: Usually requires early morning, overnight, or weekend availability.Technical Skills: Basic mechanical and troubleshooting skills are highly preferred, basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, and carpentry, proficiency in using hand and power tools.Soft Skills:Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent time management, strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work independentlyOther Requirements:Candidates must have a valid driver's license and own vehicle and must be willing to travel, as well as being authorized to work in the United States.
