MULTIPLE OPENINGS! Direct Support Professional in Community Integration 

As a Direct Support Professional (DSP) your day starts by picking up the 1 to 3 individuals you support, reviewing the day's plans, and discussing their goals, interests, and choices. Then you're off! You might visit parks, libraries, restaurants, community centers, volunteer sites, local events, and more.

Full-time? Enjoy a consistent group and schedule while building meaningful relationships and seeing progress over time. 

Part-time? Enjoy variety while supporting different individuals, groups, activities, and locations. 

The Difference You'll Make:  Whether you're helping someone in employment, practice budgeting, order their own lunch, volunteer, try something new, or advocate for what they want, you're helping them build confidence and independence.

You're there to support—not take over. They choose the direction. You help make progress happen.

You'll use your personal vehicle to transport the individuals you support. Mileage for approved work-related travel is reimbursed at the current IRS rate.

Community Integration Training Program (CITP) Program Highlights

• 100% community-based program (small businesses, nonprofits, schools, etc.)

• Small group support (3:1 client-to-Job Coach ratio)
• Individualized plans tailored to each participant’s goals and abilities
• Emphasis on independence, personal choice, and community integration
• Participants receive personalized support through a collaborative plan involving their Direct Support Professional, including family members, staff, and community partners.

Job Specific Essential Duties

1. Train, support, and monitor clients while in the community.
2. Participate in the development of a circle of support, to build relationships with family, friends, neighbors, and other community.
3. Develop individualized adaptive support materials as needed.
4. Develop and expand clients’ participation in integrated employment activities.
5. Assist with development and implementation of clients’ annual plan, goals, and objectives 
6. Participate in clients’ annual Individualized Program Plan (IPP) meeting 
7. Provide same day shift coverage as requested by supervisor.

Minimum Experience and Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma/GED
• Experience: 1 year working in social services, education, or with the developmentally disabled population preferred
• Driving: 3 years driving experience; own vehicle for transportation; willing to drive up to 3 clients in your personal vehicle at once (mileage reimbursed at current IRS rate)
