The Labor & Employment practice group seeks an experienced counsel to join its San Francisco or Los Angeles office. Candidates should have at least eight years of employment litigation experience, including substantial work on single plaintiff matters and wage and hour class actions. Candidates must be an active member of the California bar.This role is suited for a senior attorney capable of independently managing a full caseload, leading case strategy, and mentoring junior lawyers. The position offers significant client contact and the opportunity to help grow a collaborative, high‑performing practice.ResponsibilitiesOversee all phases of litigation; serve as lead or day‑to‑day case manager; supervise associates and staff; and act as a primary client contact. Demonstrate strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple complex matters simultaneously. Significant deposition and courtroom experience is required, including arguing motions and handling hearings. Experience with employment advice and counseling is preferred. Contribute to business development and client relationship growth.Compensation & BenefitsReed Smith offers a challenging work environment and a total compensation package that includes a competitive salary, flexible benefits program, tuition assistance, and generous 401(k) plan.$350,000 - $450,000. This represents the presently‑anticipated low and high end of Reed Smith's pay range for this position.
