Francis Marion University invites applications for a Multimedia Services Production Assistant who, under limited supervision, performs duties related to production of general University and athletic events, provides multimedia support for events across the University, and for the public relations activities of the University. The Multimedia Services Production Assistant also assists with the care and provision of media equipment assigned to the Media Center.

Other duties include, but are not limited to:

• Directs and operates the production of live-streaming audio and video for FMU Athletics and other campus events, using state-of-the-art video cameras and audio systems;
• Manages pre-production planning for assigned broadcasts, including coordinating staffing, schedules and equipment across simultaneous events in conjunction with the Director of Multimedia Services;
• Works in collaboration with University Communications, Multimedia Center, and University Athletics to improve and enhance athletic event livestreams and viewership.
• Assists in the operation of and production of audio/visual programming for the university.
• Handles campus requests for hardware support services including delivery, set-up, and operation of audio and visual units across campus.
• Assists Director of Multimedia Services in the operation and support of the Cauthen Educational Media Center lab/instructional spaces including the resource area, TV studio, podcast studio, and auditoriums.

State Requirements: A high school diploma is required, experience or additional education in the production of video programming

FMU Preferences: Bachelor's degree in mass communication or broadcast related field. Thorough knowledge of various media devices and audio-visual procedures, including BlueFrame Production Truck and video editing utilizing programs from the Adobe Creative Cloud. Ability to work cooperatively with campus constituencies and external entities including Conference Carolinas. Two years' experience in audio/visual production, including live broadcasts, especially a working knowledge of athletic broadcasts. Working knowledge of Windows and MacOS, Vizrt Tricaster, projectors, audio mixers, and other A/V technology.

Pay Grade: GEN06

Salary: $37,944
