    Description

Syracuse University is building something new. We're launching SU Global to reimagine how we support and scale accessible online pathways for non-traditional learners, in a dynamic, innovative, and data-driven environment. That means rethinking how we work.

This role requires on-campus presence because the best ideas emerge from real-time collaboration, the mentorship that happens in hallways, and the spontaneous problem-solving that defines startup culture. You'll work non-traditional hours when needed - evening and weekend coverage, whatever it takes to deliver the best-in-class experience.

We're looking for team members who thrive in:

    • High-energy, in-person environments where innovation happens face-to-face
    • Flexible scheduling that follows student needs, not the clock
    • Startup intensity within a world-class university structure

We're not looking for people who want a job. We're looking for builders who want a mission.

The Multimedia Manager is accountable for the team's performance, creative output, and the visual quality of course deliverables. This role bridges the design team and the broader organization's translating priorities into team direction, and representing the team's capacity and standards to leadership and partners, including instructional designers, video production, and faculty developers.

The Multimedia Manager is a player-coach; an experienced UI/UX and visual designer who leads the team while remaining an active contributor, taking on design and course-development work alongside leadership duties, and owning the standards, tools, and direction that keep the function running effectively.

This role requires on-campus presence and occasional evening/weekend flexibility, in a fast-paced environment supporting non-traditional learners through an evolving, data-informed model.

    • Proven experience as a UI/UX Designer, with strong visual design sensibility across desktop, web, and mobile platforms.
    • Demonstrated ability to research user needs, develop personas, and conduct interviews to inform interface design for online learners.
    • Strong understanding of responsive design principles and accessibility standards for web and online learning applications.
    • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills, including the ability to present design recommendations to stakeholders and faculty.
    • Enthusiastic, collaborative team player able to prioritize multiple concurrent design assignments in a fast-paced environment.
