The Department of Psychiatry seeks a highly motivated Multimedia Design Assistant II, a position that combines creativity and vital administrative functions for the department across its various divisions. In this essential role, the staff person - with the direction and guidance of the Manger of Program Innovation and Strategic Initiatives - helps create and maintain content for the department's communication channels (digital, print, video, web) and assists in the development, production, and dissemination of marketing collateral for Psychiatry's programs including its continuing education events (conferences and Grand Rounds), residency and fellowship programs, research, alumni outreach, internal and external events, as well as assisting in event planning, production, post-event processes, and other duties as assigned. These efforts enable us to showcase the excellent work of our faculty, trainees, and staff to meet our goals in raising the Department's profile locally, regionally, and nationally.
Assists in creating department communications (digital, print, video, web) and assists in the development, production, and dissemination of marketing and communications collateral for Psychiatry's programs including its trainee programs, continuing education events (including Grand Rounds and conferences), research programs, alumni outreach, internal and external events, and more - as well as assisting in event planning, production, and reporting. Produces original promotional materials (web/print/video) that adhere to brand guidelines. Assists in communicating the department's accomplishments (research, awards, etc.), initiatives, and continuing education events via publishing on the department's website, in its newsletter and social media, as well as through various university channels. Helps with archiving Grand Rounds and conference presentations on our YouTube channel. Administrative work includes pulling metrics to report and translating analytics for various initiatives (such as research recruitment, event advertising, etc.) and the results of outreach efforts via web traffic, recruitment sign-ups, event sign-ups, etc.
This hybrid position requires in-office work at least one to two days a week. It also entails occasional after-hours work for internal/external events. We are happy to work with you on your schedule if you are in school, have other employment, or family obligations.

Notice of Availability of the Annual Security and Fire Safety Report In compliance with the Jeanne Clery Campus Safety Act (Clery Act), each year the University of Arizona releases an Annual Security Report (ASR) for each of the University's campuses. These reports disclose information including Clery crime statistics for the previous three calendar years and policies, procedures, and programs the University uses to keep students and employees safe, including how to report crimes or other emergencies and resources for crime victims. As a campus with residential housing facilities, the Main Campus ASR also includes a combined Annual Fire Safety report with information on fire statistics and fire safety systems, policies, and procedures.
