Multimedia Content Specialist

Thiel College is seeking a creative, energetic, and highly organized Multimedia Content Creator to join the Office of Communications and Marketing. This entry-level position is ideal for someone who is passionate about videography, photography, and social media storytelling and is excited to capture the people, moments, and experiences that define the Thiel community.

The Multimedia Content Creator will help bring the College's story to life through compelling visual content that supports enrollment, advancement, alumni engagement, athletics, student life, and academic initiatives. This role works closely with colleagues across campus to create authentic, brand-aligned content for digital platforms and institutional communications.

What You'll Do

• Plan, shoot, and edit engaging video content for social media, web, and digital campaigns
• Capture and edit photography for campus events, student life, athletics, alumni activities, advancement initiatives, and academic programs
• Create content for Thiel College's social media channels, including short-form video, photos, captions, and story-based coverage
• Collaborate with colleagues in alumni relations, advancement, athletics, student life, academics, and admissions to identify and promote meaningful stories
• Help manage content workflow, project timelines, and creative requests using Trello
• Maintain organized digital files and archives for photo, video, and other creative assets
• Ensure all work reflects Thiel College brand standards and supports strategic communication goals
• Assist with coverage of major college events, including evenings or weekends as needed
• Support the broader work of the communications and marketing team as assigned

What We're Looking For

• Strong skills in videography, photography, and visual storytelling
• Experience editing content using Adobe Creative Cloud, especially tools such as Premiere Pro, Lightroom, Photoshop, and related platforms
• Familiarity with current social media trends, formats, and best practices
• Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
• Strong written and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with campus partners, students, faculty, staff, and alumni
• A positive, professional, and creative approach to content development

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, digital media, film, photography, or a related field preferred
• Relevant internship, campus media, freelance, or entry-level experience in photo, video, and social content creation
• Portfolio or demo reel demonstrating videography, photography, and social media content work preferred
• Higher education experience is a plus
