Job Summary
The Multifunction Services Senior Supervisor provides direct supervision and advanced operational leadership within Environmental Services (EVS). This position supervises 20+ employees and serves as a lead resource for managers and Associate and Intermediate supervisors. The Senior Supervisor is responsible for daily operations, staff performance, payroll and timekeeping review, quality monitoring, service recovery, regulatory readiness, project coordination, and process improvement.
This role serves as a mentor to Associate and Intermediate Supervisors within the department, supports managers with operational priorities, assists with auditing payroll and timekeeping processes, and leads assigned department projects. During peak operational periods, the Senior Supervisor commands the EVS board by prioritizing service needs, coordinating resources, monitoring workflow and turnaround times, and escalating barriers as needed. This position promotes staff accountability, leadership development, continuous improvement, regulatory compliance, service excellence, and a safe, professional work environment across EVS operations.

Required Qualifications*
At least one of the following:
Bachelor's degree and 4 years of supervisory experience in Environmental Services, education, healthcare, hospitality, or another related field
8 years of supervisory experience in Environmental Services, education, healthcare, hospitality, or another related field
5 years of demonstrated success as an Environmental Services supervisor within the organization
Ability to meet the physical requirements of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, including frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting up to 50 lbs., and working with cleaning chemicals and equipment as required.
Previous experience providing supervision, team leadership, work coordination, training, and performance support to a team of 15 or more employees.
Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service, support quality improvement efforts, identify trends, and implement follow-up actions as appropriate in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment
Working knowledge of cleaning procedures, infection prevention practices, PPE, chemical safety, equipment use, and environmental cleaning standards.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle employee, payroll, performance, and operational information with a high degree of integrity and in accordance with institutional policies
Demonstrated ability to supervise, coach, motivate, and hold staff accountable for performance, quality, safety, attendance, productivity, professionalism, and customer service expectations
Demonstrated ability to mentor, guide, and support lower-level supervisors in operational decision-making, documentation, performance management, service recovery, and escalation practices
Ability to perform payroll and timekeeping responsibilities, including reviewing timesheets, monitoring attendance, resolving discrepancies, reviewing overtime, and meeting established deadlines and guidelines
Demonstrated ability to address routine and moderately complex employee relations, customer service, staffing, workflow, and operational concerns using sound judgment and appropriate escalation
Demonstrated ability to coordinate operations during high-volume or peak service periods, including prioritizing requests, allocating resources, monitoring workflows, and escalating barriers
Demonstrated ability to lead projects, coordinate action plans, track progress, communicate updates, and support implementation of process improvements
Ability to communicate professionally and effectively, both verbally and in writing, with staff, patients, visitors, clinical partners, customers, leadership, Human Resources, and other stakeholders and partners
Demonstrated interpersonal skills, including listening, empathy, teamwork, team building, coaching, conflict resolution, service recovery, and employee engagement
Demonstrated ability to remain calm and professional under pressure and in stressful situations
Demonstrated ability to prioritize competing demands, adapt to changing needs, and make timely decisions in a fast-paced healthcare environment
Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, follow-through, and documentation accuracy
Demonstrated competence using computer systems, including Microsoft applications, email, electronic documentation tools, and the ability to learn department-specific systems
Ability to work assigned shifts, weekends, holidays, and during emergency or surge situations as needed.

Work Schedule
This position is Evenings / Friday-Tuesday / 4:00pm-12:30am
All shifts may require work on weekends and/or holiday rotations, and the willingness and ability to work longer hours as needed.
