Multidiscipline QA/QC About CBCCanadian Breaks Consulting, LLC is a growing consulting firm based in Amarillo, TX serving clients with customized project management solutions to complex problems on critical projects.Our Mission: "To plan, manage, and execute projects with hearts, hands, and feet of Christ."Our Core ValuesIntegrity: A commitment to Truth with a consistent and uncompromising adherence to strong moral and ethical principles and values.Excellence: A constant and consistent drive to uphold and raise standards in whatever you do.Prudence: A commitment to taking the extra step and considering the reasonableness of your actions as well as their consequences.Stewardship: An unwavering willingness to carefully and responsibly manage interests separate from and greater than your own. Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Multidiscipline QA/QC professional to join the on-site Quality Department for a large-scale semiconductor fabrication facility project in Chandler, Arizona.The Multidiscipline QA/QC will provide field quality oversight for the installation, inspection, testing, and turnover of civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, and specialty process systems supporting the fab, cleanroom, sub-fab, and central utility buildings.This position will work closely with the Quality Assurance Manager, discipline construction teams, Commissioning Team, Engineering, Client Representatives, Trade Contractors, Vendors, and Equipment Manufacturers to ensure installations meet project specifications, approved construction documents, applicable codes and standards, manufacturer requirements, owner cleanroom protocols, and project quality expectations.The ideal candidate has broad multidiscipline field experience, understands semiconductor and mission-critical construction, and takes a proactive approach to identifying and preventing quality issues before they impact testing, commissioning, tool install, schedule, or turnover.Key Responsibilities Perform daily QA/QC surveillance and inspections across all disciplines, including civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, process piping, and cleanroom scopes. Verify installations comply with IFC drawings, specifications, approved submittals, RFIs, shop drawings, manufacturer requirements, applicable codes, and owner fab standards. Review contractor Quality Plans, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), inspection checklists, and supporting quality documentation for all disciplines. Participate in pre-installation, preparatory, and First Work / First-in-Place inspections. Inspect work prior to concealment, including embeds, rebar and concrete placement, underground utilities, in-wall and above-ceiling rough-in, insulation, pressure testing, energization, and startup. Verify cleanroom construction protocols, clean build practices, and contamination control requirements are followed in the fab and sub-fab. Witness and verify discipline-specific testing, such as concrete and soils testing, bolt torque, weld inspection and NDE, pressure and helium leak testing, UHP gas and UPW certification, insulation resistance (megger), and cable termination testing. Identify and document quality deficiencies, observations, punch-list items, and nonconforming work. Coordinate corrective actions with trade contractors and verify deficiencies through final closure. Perform system walkdowns and support Mechanical Completion, commissioning readiness, and tool install readiness. Coordinate inspections with contractors, third-party inspectors, commissioning personnel, engineering, and project leadership. Participate in QA/QC meetings, discipline coordination meetings, commissioning meetings, and quality walks. Review and maintain inspection, test, and turnover documentation for all disciplines, including weld logs, test reports, and material certifications. Assist the Quality Assurance Manager with quality reporting, metrics, trends, Lessons Learned, and contractor quality performance.Qualifications:Professional Experience and Education Minimum 5 years' construction QA/QC experience, including multidiscipline QA/QC on semiconductor, data center, pharmaceutical, or other mission-critical projects. Structural steel erection, bolting, welding, and/or inspection experience is preferred. Concrete pre-install, install, and/or inspection experience is preferred. Site and architectural installation and/or inspection experience is preferred. Mechanical and process piping installation and/or inspection experience, including HVAC, plumbing, UHP gas, UPW, and chemical distribution systems, is preferred. Electrical installation and/or inspection experience, including medium- and low-voltage distribution, grounding, cable tray, and terminations, is preferred. Semiconductor fab or cleanroom construction experience is preferred. Certifications such as AWS CWI, ICC, ACI, or NETA are a plus. Strong working knowledge of and competency in Field Management Software (BIM360 Field, Procore, Latista, etc.) High School diploma or GED required. Able to work fully onsite in Chandler, AZ. Bachelor of science in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, structural engineering, construction management or equivalent degree and/or equivalent craft level work experience.Position Related Skills A strong commitment to quality compliance with OSHA standards, owner EHS requirements, and site-specific cleanroom protocols. Ability to work closely with trade and craft people in a field work situation. Patience and professionalism are essential to being able to maintain a cooperative attitude through pressure situations. Ability to manage several work activities at once while frequently interrupted by phone calls and urgent questions on work in progress. Advanced visual observation and interpretation skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; must be able to work closely with clients, architects, engineers, equipment manufacturers, vendors, and subcontractors. Must be a dedicated team player, self-starter, flexible and able to work well with a variety of personalities and minimal instruction. Ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations is required.
