JOB SUMMARY:

Perform custodial services at multiple local and remote work sites in an efficient, effective, and professional manner while providing flexible support based on business and site needs. The Multi-Site Custodian performs routine and project custodial services at assigned facilities. Work location, schedule, and daily duties may vary based on contract requirements, workload, staffing shortages, employee absences, and operational priorities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

The list of essential functions below is intended to be representative of the tasks performed within this job. Other duties may be assigned based on business need.

  • Perform custodial work at assigned locations according to contract requirements, site procedures, schedules, and specified methods of cleaning.

  • Remove and properly dispose of trash, recycling, cardboard, and other waste materials.

  • Clean offices, common areas, corridors, breakrooms, and other assigned spaces, including dusting, wiping surfaces, vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping.

  • Clean and disinfect restrooms, including mirrors, partitions, toilets, urinals, sinks, fixtures, floors, and high-touch surfaces.

  • Restock paper products, soap, sanitizer, and other custodial supplies.

  • Perform routine floor care, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, spot cleaning, and use of approved custodial equipment as trained and assigned.

  • Maintain entrances, baseboards, moldings, furniture, and other assigned surfaces in a clean and orderly condition.

  • Set up and break down tables, chairs, and other items for meetings, events, or special assignments as required.

  • Properly handle and dispose of hazardous or bio-waste materials in accordance with established procedures and training.

  • Maintain custodial supplies and equipment under established procedures; inspect equipment before use and report damage, defects, shortages, or safety concerns.

  • Participate in required safety meetings, hazard assessments, and classroom or virtual training programs.

  • Using a personal or company vehicle, travel between assigned work sites and transport supplies, equipment, or workers when authorized.

  • Be willing, available, and able to travel and work varied schedules, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays, based on site needs.

  • Understand and follow the requirements, expectations, security procedures, and cleaning specifications of multiple contracts and work locations.

  • Communicate with regional and site leadership regarding work completed, service concerns, supply needs, incidents, and changing priorities.

  • Complete required site trip reports, checklists, logs, time records, or other documentation accurately and timely.

  • Workdays, hours, duties, and assigned locations may vary depending on business and contract needs.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:

  • None

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • No minimum experience required.
  • Must be able and willing to travel routinely to local and remote work locations, including overnight and out-of-state assignments.
  • Must be able to pass background screenings required for access to assigned work areas.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Must have a valid drivers license and maintain a favorable Motor Vehicle Record.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively and complete basic electronic or written documentation.
  • Must be available to work a varied schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be able to work independently with limited supervision and adapt to changing site assignments.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain any site-specific security clearance or access credential required for the assignment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Prior custodial work experience.
  • Experience with periodic travel assignments, temporary site coverage, or work at multiple locations.
  • Prior experience working with individuals with disabilities.

  • Must be able to work harmoniously in a team environment with a diverse workforce.
  • Work at a reasonable pace for the job duties assigned and physical ability.
  • Good communication skills, including the ability to respond appropriately to common inquiries or concerns and provide basic oral or written updates.
  • Able to follow verbal and written instructions, cleaning specifications, safety procedures, and site-specific requirements with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Reasoning Ability: Able to identify issues or problems, evaluate conditions, and determine when to correct an issue or notify leadership.
  • Attentive to detail and committed to consistent, quality performance.
  • Able to organize work, manage changing priorities, and complete required records or reports.

TRAVEL

  • Travel between local and remote work sites is required on a routine basis and may occur weekly or more frequently depending on operational needs.
  • Requires night shift and travel across locations in Florida.
  • Travel schedules, destinations, and hours will vary based on work requirements. Extended stays may be required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Requirements will vary depending on the assigned tasks. This position requires driving, repetitive lifting, pushing/pulling, carrying, walking, climbing, squatting, kneeling, bending, reaching, and prolonged standing. The position involves lifting and/or moving up to 40 pounds. These requirements can be met with or without reasonable accommodation.

SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Working conditions are predominantly indoors at assigned work sites; however, work may be performed in areas without air conditioning or heat and may involve exposure to adverse environmental conditions such as dirt, heat, cold, rain, or fumes.
  • May involve frequent driving and extended travel between work locations.
  • May require work in secured, industrial, office, healthcare, or other contract environments with location-specific rules and access requirements.
  • Must use designated personal protective equipment properly and consistently.
  • Involves exposure to hazardous materials, including cleaning solutions and bio-waste hazards. Required inoculations and training will be provided by the company.

SENSORY REQUIREMENTS:

Some tasks require manual dexterity, visual acuity, hearing acuity, and the ability to recognize safety and environmental conditions.

Availability: Full time (Flexible days and shift times)

Salary: $18.00 per hour
