Multi-lingual Learner Teacher

CERTIFICATION QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be Wisconsin DPI certified as an ESL teacher, early childhood to early adolescence. Additional certification as a bilingual (Spanish or Hmong) teacher or willing to become certified is preferred.
• Experience working with bilingual students on either a pullout or in-class basis.
• Additional content area certification preferred.
• Must be knowledgeable in and utilize Differentiated Instruction, 21st Century Skills, PLC, RtI, PBIS, Next Generation Science Standards, and Align by Design Instructional Model.
• Willing to work as a member of a team to provide common, rigorous opportunities within the classroom.
• Must successfully integrate speaking, writing, listening, and reading into the curriculum.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Ability to work with students from multicultural backgrounds. Knowledge of instructional needs of students in an English Learner (EL) school program. Willing to be part of a dynamic professional staff that provides a quality learning environment for every student. Successful experience working in a team-teaching position. Knowledgeable about methods of assessing student proficiency levels and capable of maintaining complete and accurate student records.
