A day in these roles could look like...

1) Electrical Estimator / Senior Electrical Estimator — Cleveland, OH — $75K–$140K

You’re juggling roughly five hard-bid pursuits while collaborating with operations on a growing slate of design-build opportunities. You lean on Accubid for takeoffs and apply your low-voltage commercial know-how to sharpen scopes for healthcare, higher education, banking, and industrial clients. You’re part of a union electrical contractor with 140+ years of history and deep roots in the region.

• Experience: 5+ years to join as Estimator; 10+ years for Senior Estimator
• Work mix: Predominantly hard-bid with increasing design-build
• Tools: Accubid; low-voltage commercial experience preferred

2) Project Manager / Estimator — Mechanical (HVAC) — Rochester Hills, MI — $100K–$140K

Your week balances 30% estimating and 70% project delivery. You lead a field team of HVAC technicians and installers, while pricing replacements, tenant improvements, design-build, controls, and service projects that typically range from $600K–$800K. You keep projects on track, margins in line, and clients coming back.

• Experience: 5+ years in commercial mechanical estimating and PM
• Scope: HVAC/mechanical TI, replacements, design-build, controls, service
• Compensation: Profit share plus discretionary bonus

3) Estimator — Heavy Civil / Earthwork — Huntington, IN — $120K–$135K

You dig into site packages, turning dirt and pipe quantities into precise numbers. You build estimates in Excel and Agtek, coordinate vendor pricing, and pursue $0.5M–$4M site development and excavation projects for commercial and industrial customers. A company vehicle is provided for site reconnaissance.

• Experience: 10+ years in construction with strong earthwork/excavation estimating
• Deliverables: Dirt and pipe takeoffs, vendor quotes, detailed estimate assemblies
• Tools: Excel and Agtek

4) Senior Estimator — Commercial GC — Wood Dale, IL (Chicago area) — $120K–$130K

You own two pursuits per week from start to finish: takeoff, subcontractor outreach, scope leveling, and final bid assembly. You’re part of a 100% employee-owned general contractor that promotes from within, with ESOP contributions that can reach up to 25% of salary annually.

• Experience: 10+ years in commercial estimating
• Tools: Excel and Bluebeam
• Culture: Longstanding Chicago GC, advancement-minded, ESOP
