    Job Description

    Location:

    • This position will be located in Morrisville, NC and will be an onsite role.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead engineering and maintenance activities to ensure reliability and optimal equipment performance
    • Provide technical leadership and guidance to operators, technicians, and external partners
    • Drive preventive and predictive maintenance strategies based on equipment criticality
    • Lead and execute equipment, utility, and facility improvement initiatives
    • Manage engineering projects including planning, budgeting, and vendor oversight
    • Ensure all maintenance and engineering activities meet safety and regulatory compliance standards
    • Oversee documentation including maintenance plans, specifications, and engineering records

    Essential Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent technical discipline
    • Minimum five years of engineering experience in pharmaceutical or chemical industry
    • Proven experience leading maintenance programs and technical teams
    • Strong understanding of equipment lifecycle management and reliability principles
    • Solid knowledge of good manufacturing practices and quality standards
    • Excellent communication and leadership skills across cross-functional teams

    Desirable Requirements

    • Advanced degree in engineering or related discipline
    • Experience implementing advanced maintenance strategies such as reliability-centered maintenance

    Novartis Compensation and Benefit Summary:

    The salary for this position is expected to range between $98,700 and $183,300 annually

    The final salary offered is determined based on factors like, but not limited to, relevant skills and experience, and upon joining Novartis will be reviewed periodically. Novartis may change the published salary range based on company and market factors.

    Your compensation will include a performance-based cash incentive and, depending on the level of the role, eligibility to be considered for annual equity awards.

    US-based eligible employees will receive a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, life and disability benefits, a 401(k) with company contribution and match, and a variety of other benefits. In addition, employees are eligible for a generous time off package including vacation, personal days, holidays and other leaves.
