EMPLOYMENT TERM: 2026-2027 Term

QUALIFICATIONS: Multi-Categorical Certification K-6/ 5-12 with Autism WV Teaching Certification

SALARY: Based on Calhoun County Teachers Pay Schedule commensurate with degree level and experience.

Salary based on experience and education level per CBOE salary schedule plus competitive benefits package equal to approximately 35% of direct compensation.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Implementing programs of study in classroom and virtually
  • Fostering a classroom climate conducive to learning in classroom and online
  • Utilizing instructional management systems models which increase student learning
  • Monitoring student progress towards mastery of instructional objectives and goals
  • Communicating within the educational community
  • Meeting professional responsibilities
  • Meeting technology standards
  • Specific knowledge of assessment and lesson design
  • General knowledge of serving special populations of learners
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Co-teaching, modeling and intervention duties with special and general populations of learners
  • Meet all Minutes and Requirements of all IEP
  • Ensure Accommodations for all students are being met
  • Remediate all students in areas of weakness
  • Appropriate training and implementation of CPI
  • Assist in Data Collection of all students
  • Analyze Data for Goal writing of all IEP's
  • Attend all IEP Eligibilities, re-evaluations, and Initials
  • Collaborate/Co-Teach with general education teachers of all students
  • Maintain Data for IEP's of students' growth goals
  • Collaborate with building level Principals on special education students
  • Assist in the monitoring and compliance of special education screening and evaluation timelines
  • Complete multi-disciplinary, multi-categorical evaluations
  • Prepare evaluation reports with interpretations and recommendations
  • Attend Eligibility Committee Meetings to present evaluation reports
  • Coordinate/provide ELL services, activities, assessments and meetings for ELL students
  • Conduct Parent Trainings
  • Conduct FBA and write BIP's
  • Implement PBIS
  • Other duties as assigned
