    Multi-Axis CNC Setup & Programming Machinist — Granite City, IL

    Picture your day beginning on a clean, well-organized shop floor in Granite City, IL. You review a new work order, pull up the blueprint, and confirm tolerances. With confident hands, you fixture the part, dial in your offsets, and fine-tune G-code to get the first piece just right. Throughout the shift, you keep machines humming, quality on target, and documentation accurate—collaborating with teammates to make each run a little faster and a little better than the last.

    A day in the shop

    • Set up and operate CNC machines to produce precision parts per specifications and drawings.
    • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to plan each operation.
    • Monitor machine operations continuously to maintain quality and efficiency.
    • Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting on CNC equipment.
    • Keep your cell and workbench spotless and compliant with safety protocols.
    • Collaborate with peers to improve processes, fixtures, and workflows.
    • Record production data and maintain clear, accurate documentation.

    What you’ll bring

    • High school diploma or equivalent; a machining technical degree/certification is preferred.
    • Hands-on experience as a CNC Machinist or closely related role.
    • Proficiency operating CNC lathes, mills, and related machining equipment.
    • Strong understanding of CNC setup and G-code programming.
    • Ability to interpret technical documentation and complex blueprints.
    • Exceptional attention to detail and practical problem-solving skills.
    • Comfort working independently as well as within a team.
    • Clear communication skills and a positive, solutions-first attitude.
