You’ll run daily operations for a CNC milling area, guiding people and processes to hit schedule, cost, and quality targets—while elevating reliability and continuous improvement.

    What you’ll own

    • Team leadership: Train, coach, and develop shop talent; build a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
    • Operational delivery: Run daily CNC milling operations to the plan, meeting schedule, cost, and aerospace-grade quality goals.
    • Quality and compliance: Apply and maintain AS9100, FAA, and internal procedures so every part meets spec.
    • Process optimization: Lead Lean/5S efforts; remove bottlenecks; tackle advanced machining challenges on multi-axis equipment.
    • Asset care: Oversee performance, preventative maintenance, and upgrade recommendations to maximize uptime.
    • Cross-functional coordination: Collaborate with Engineering and Quality on NPI, process capability, and NCR/MRB resolution; align with Supply Chain on materials readiness.
    • Reporting and materials: Track KPIs, keep accurate shop-floor records, and manage inventory and materials flow.

    What you bring

    • 10+ years CNC machining experience; aerospace preferred.
    • 2+ years supervising in a machining setting.
    • Advanced knowledge of CNC milling, multi-axis machining, and aerospace-grade materials/tooling.
    • Expertise in blueprint reading, GD&T, and precision machining standards.
    • Working mastery of AS9100 requirements and FAA compliance.
    • Analytical problem-solver with strong troubleshooting and conflict-resolution skills.
    • Excellent communicator and organizer.

    Bonus points

    • Lean, 5S, or Six Sigma experience.
    • ERP/MRP proficiency and familiarity with production reporting tools.
    • Hands-on, mechanically savvy leadership style.
