PART I: SUMMARY OF POSITION
This position serves in a leadership role for the school's MTSS programming, including support in collection, analysis, and reporting of data.
PART II: MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
A. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Illinois Teacher Certification (PEL)
- Employed with the district for 4 years
B. CREDENTIALS:
- Demonstrates leadership abilities;
- Demonstrates strong interpersonal and communication skills;
- Participation in professional development outside of contractual hours
C. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Demonstrate knowledge of and respect for the diverse backgrounds (cultural, linguistic, environmental) of students and how these characteristics affect the student's life and learning;
- Possess strong interpersonal and social skills;
- Possess organizational skills;
- Communicate effectively with all members of the school district and community including giving and receiving constructive feedback.
- Demonstrate ability to assist and reinforce elements that support a safe, healthy, and effective teaching and learning environment;
- Demonstrate an ability to assist teachers in differentiating instructional strategies and learning activities.
- Demonstrate ability to establish and maintain rapport with students;
- Demonstrate ability to follow oral and written direction from administration, seeking clarification as needed;
- Demonstrate ability to use strategies that promote the student's independence;
- Demonstrate knowledge of universal academic and behavior interventions for Tiers 1, 2, and 3.
- Demonstrate knowledge of Special Education and the case study process
PART III: ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

- Promote and support the use of action research; common diagnostic, formative, and summative assessment; and re-teaching strategies to adjust classroom instruction
- Assist teachers with resources, materials, tools, information, etc. to support classroom instruction and planning
- Demonstrate an understanding of MTSS concepts and methodologies;
- Attend additional MTSS training required by administration;
- Participate in MTSS leadership meetings with school and district administrators;
- Serve as spokesperson for MTSS with staff;
- Facilitate school MTSS team's process of collecting, analyzing and reporting school academic and behavioral data as required by the District MTSS process including the use of digital data platforms;
- Collaborate with school administrator to ensure staff are knowledgeable about MTSS expectations and initiatives;
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
