We’re hiring Member Service Representative I for our Oakland County branches in Rochester, Pontiac, and Troy. Whether a member stops in to make a deposit, open an account, ask about a payment, or get help with digital banking, you’ll provide accurate service and a personal connection.

What You’ll Do

• Assist members in the branch, by phone, and through other assigned service channels.
• Process deposits, withdrawals, payments, transfers, and other transactions accurately.
• Open, close, and maintain consumer accounts.
• Answer account questions and help resolve routine service concerns.
• Ask questions to understand members’ needs and recommend appropriate products, services, and digital tools.
• Explain account features and help members use online and mobile banking.
• Balance your cash drawer and complete end-of-day procedures.
• Follow verification, security, confidentiality, and fraud-prevention procedures.
• Keep member records and transaction documentation accurate.
• Know when a request needs additional review and involve the right teammate.
• Help maintain an organized and welcoming branch.

We’re looking for someone with:

• A high school diploma or GED.
• One month to one year of similar or related experience, ideally in a credit union, bank, retail, cash-handling, or customer-service setting.
• Clear, professional communication skills in person and by phone.
• Comfort handling cash and learning multiple computer systems.
• Good judgment, dependability, and a team-oriented approach.
• A willingness to recommend products and services when they genuinely fit a member’s needs.

You should also be comfortable working toward individual and branch service, accuracy, quality, and performance expectations.

Pay, Benefits, and Schedule

Pay: $18.00–$22.00 per hour, based on relevant experience, skills, and qualifications.

Chief offers Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO and BCN HMO medical options with a $500 deductible, employer contributions toward medical, dental, and vision premiums, an eligible medical insurance waiver rebate, a 401(k) employer contribution, $50,000 in employer-paid life insurance, employer-paid short-term and long-term disability coverage, paid holidays, vacation and PTO, and tuition reimbursement after one year of employment, subject to program terms.

This is a full-time, in-branch position. The regular schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:40 a.m.–5:15 p.m., with rotating late nights until 6:00 p.m. and rotating Saturdays from 8:45 a.m.–12:15 p.m.

This position requires the ability to sit or stand for extended periods, use computers and standard branch equipment, and occasionally lift or move items weighing up to 20 pounds.
