Job Summary
The Business Analyst will support the transition of the enterprise knowledge management system from Mentor to OpenText. This role will partner with business, technology, and knowledge authoring stakeholders to ensure a smooth migration by communicating key system capabilities, sharing migration timelines, gathering stakeholder requirements, and supporting readiness activities.
The Business Analyst will serve as a liaison between project teams and content authoring groups to understand current-state knowledge management processes, document future-state needs, identify migration considerations, and help ensure stakeholders are prepared to adopt the new OpenText platform.
Key Responsibilities
Support the knowledge management system transition from Mentor to OpenText, including stakeholder engagement, requirements gathering, documentation, and migration readiness activities.
Engage key authoring stakeholders to communicate OpenText capabilities, anticipated changes, migration timelines, and required stakeholder actions.
Facilitate discovery sessions, interviews, and working sessions with business and content authoring teams to capture functional, content, workflow, reporting, and access requirements.
Document current-state knowledge management processes, content ownership models, authoring workflows, approval processes, and pain points.
Translate stakeholder needs into clear business requirements, user stories, process flows, decision logs, and traceability documentation.
Partner with product owners, technology teams, project managers, change management teams, and business stakeholders to ensure requirements are understood, prioritized, and incorporated into migration planning.
Support content migration planning by helping identify content inventories, metadata needs, ownership, disposition rules, access needs, and validation criteria.
Assist with stakeholder communications, training readiness, migration updates, and adoption support.
Track open questions, risks, issues, dependencies, and stakeholder feedback related to authoring groups and migration readiness.
Support user acceptance testing by helping define test scenarios, coordinating stakeholder participation, documenting defects, and validating resolution.
Help develop and maintain project documentation, including requirements artifacts, stakeholder matrices, meeting notes, process maps, readiness checklists, and status updates.
Promote consistent authoring and knowledge management practices aligned to future-state platform capabilities and business needs.
Required Qualifications
Experience as a Business Analyst, Product Analyst, Systems Analyst, or similar role supporting technology, content management, knowledge management, or platform implementation initiatives.
Demonstrated experience gathering, documenting, and managing business requirements across multiple stakeholder groups.
Strong facilitation skills, including the ability to lead discovery sessions, stakeholder interviews, and cross-functional working meetings.
Experience documenting business processes, workflows, user stories, acceptance criteria, risks, issues, and decisions.
Ability to communicate technical and functional concepts clearly to business stakeholders.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams, stakeholder groups, and timelines.
Experience supporting system migration, platform implementation, or enterprise change initiatives.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, collaboration platforms, and requirements documentation tools.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with knowledge management, document management, content management, or enterprise authoring platforms.
Experience with OpenText, Mentor, SharePoint, or similar knowledge/content management systems.
Experience supporting large-scale technology transitions or content migrations.
Familiarity with metadata, taxonomy, content lifecycle management, access controls, approval workflows, and document governance.
Experience working in a healthcare, insurance, operations, claims, or regulated business environment.
Familiarity with Agile, hybrid, or waterfall delivery methodologies.
Experience supporting change management, communications, training readiness, or stakeholder adoption activities.
