Primary Skills (must-have, core to the role)
Strong hands-on experience with Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, DAX, Power Query/M, SQL, and Data Modeling.
Experience with legacy/existing Power BI, Fabric, and SQL projects.
Ability to quickly understand and troubleshoot existing reports, dashboards, semantic models, DAX, SQL, and data refresh issues.
Experience identifying performance issues, bugs, and areas for improvement in solutions built by others.
Strong knowledge of Star Schema, Relationships, Import/DirectQuery/Composite models, RLS, and Power BI Service.
Must be able to explain specific real-world examples of troubleshooting and improving existing Power BI/Fabric solutions.
Strong communication, problem-solving skills, and confidence working with inherited/legacy code.
