Design Engineer - Aerospace Mechanisms - Seattle WA area - 0805

Our client in the Seattle, WA area is a leading designer and manufacturer of specialty aircraft modifications and products, our client has several new programs and looking for great candidates to discuss direct opportunities for Design Engineers with Mechanism Experience using Solidworks or similar CAD system

Keltia is a technical support services company providing Engineering Design, CAD Training along with Specialized Technical Recruiting services to mainly the aerospace and other industries in WA State, around the US, Canada and Europe. We have been in business 20 years in the US and 8 years in Europe.

MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEER - MECHANISMS

  • Solidworks or any 3D modeling software design personnel to develop aerospace mechanisms for latches, doors, etc that include the generation of models, specifications and drawings.
  • You will be responsible for designing and identifying component parameters, selecting materials, assemblies and parts to be used for commercial aircraft
  • You can demonstrate your background with mechanisms, kinematics or structures design in the aircraft industry,
  • Preparation of FAA documents and test plans; knowledge of aerospace industry materials, hardware and processes;
  • knowledge of FAA regulations; ;

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, or equivalent of education and experience
  • Minimum of ten years of experience as a Design Engineer preferably within the aerospace industry.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred, especially working with composite materials..
  • Strong communication and interaction skills.
  • Ability to lead continuous improvement projects and use /evaluate statistical data analysis tools during continuous improvement projects.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
