Middle School Debate Coach
Sycamore School is seeking an enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and student-centered individual to serve as our Middle School Debate Coach for the upcoming school year. This position is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about public speaking, critical thinking, communication skills, and mentoring middle school students in a positive and engaging environment.
The Debate Coach will lead and develop our middle school debate program by teaching students the fundamentals of debate, argumentation, research, public speaking, and teamwork. The coach will prepare students for practices, competitions, and other debate-related events while fostering confidence, collaboration, and respectful discourse.
Qualified applicants will have experience working with students in grades six through eight. They should be highly organized, great motivators, superior communicators, and have a level of knowledge and expertise in debate. Payment for this position is by stipend. Applicants must commit to being able to lead practices at least once per week after school and coach scheduled competitions (2) through the season.
