Job Description:
Soap Lake Middle School is seeking a dedicated and responsible Assistant Football Coach to support the Middle School Head Coach in all aspects of the football program. This position helps promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and player development in a safe and positive environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Middle School Head Coach with planning and running practices
- Supervise student-athletes at games, practices, and team events
- Help teach football skills, rules, and strategies
- Encourage academic success and good behavior among players
- Ensure safety and proper use of equipment
- Support team goals and school policies
- Attend coaches' meetings and training as required
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of football rules and coaching techniques
- Positive role model for high school athletes
- Ability to work well with students, staff, and parents
- CPR/First Aid and WIAA coaching certifications (or willingness to obtain)
Schedule:
- Fall season (with some pre-season and off-season activities)
This position is not benefit eligible unless 630 hours is anticipated/reached in the school year
