About the work
As our MRO Tooling Control Supervisor, you’ll coordinate the flow of tools and equipment that keeps production running. You will be the trusted point of contact for issuing, receiving, tracking, and maintaining critical tooling.
Your core responsibilities
- Issue and receive tools, equipment, and supplies for production and maintenance teams.
- Record and reconcile all tool movements with absolute accuracy.
- Inspect for wear, damage, or calibration; schedule repair, replacement, or reconditioning.
- Label and store items in designated locations for quick retrieval.
- Track min/max levels, flag shortages, and initiate reorders.
- Assist with periodic cycle counts and formal audits.
- Keep the tool crib safe, clean, and compliant.
- Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and company policies.
- Drive continuous improvement to enhance efficiency and control costs.
Qualifications
Required
- 1–3 years in tool crib operations, inventory control, or manufacturing support
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of hand tools, machine tools, and industrial equipment
- Proficient in using Solar System Tool Management System, Tools Balancers and Redo Matic Equipment
- Strong organizational skills, accuracy, and service‑oriented communication
Preferred
- Inspection experience in aerospace, aviation, automotive, or composites
- Experience with composites and thermoset materials

Environment and schedule
This position is primarily performed in a tool crib, stockroom, or warehouse environment with regular interaction on the production floor. May involve exposure to manufacturing noise, dust, or other manufacturing debris.
Our Northbrook facility is climate‑controlled and equipped with state‑of‑the‑art CNC technology. Expect standing for extended periods, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working around noise and composite dust (PPE provided). Some shift coverage flexibility may be required.
