MRO Storeroom Coordinator

You will serve as a key resource for maintenance technicians, buyers, and vendors by coordinating parts management, processing inventory transactions, resolving discrepancies, conducting research on replacement components, and maintaining accurate inventory levels to support plant operations. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will support storeroom operations by ensuring maintenance, repair, and operations inventory is accurately received, organized, stocked, and tracked.

Shift: 7:00 AM-3:30 PM

Hourly Rate: $26.75 an hour

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will support storeroom operations by ensuring maintenance, repair, and operations inventory is accurately received, organized, stocked, and tracked. You will serve as a key resource for maintenance technicians, buyers, and vendors by coordinating parts management, processing inventory transactions, resolving discrepancies, conducting research on replacement components, and maintaining accurate inventory levels to support plant operations.

A Taste of Your Responsibilities

• Perform routine cycle counts and inventory audits to ensure storeroom inventory accuracy.
• Receive incoming maintenance, repair, and operations materials and verify shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.
• Stock shelves and organize storeroom inventory to maintain efficient part identification and retrieval.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies involving received materials, purchase orders, shipments, and inventory records.
• Contact vendors regarding incorrect shipments, damaged materials, missing items, and other inventory-related concerns.
• Partner with buyers to research replacement parts, validate specifications, and identify equivalent components when necessary.
• Support maintenance technicians by locating, identifying, and sourcing maintenance and electrical components.
• Develop familiarity with maintenance parts and components, including emergency stop buttons, relays, contactors, and related equipment.
• Research parts through supplier catalogs, manufacturer resources, and vendor websites.
• Coordinate ordering activities and communicate with suppliers to confirm availability, specifications, and lead times.
• Assist with cross-reference reviews to identify compatible replacement parts and alternative sourcing options.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and support continuous improvement initiatives within the storeroom.
• Follow all food safety, quality, and workplace safety requirements.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

Ingredients Required for Your Success

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in inventory control, storeroom operations, maintenance support, warehouse operations, or a related field.
• Knowledge of maintenance, repair, and operations inventory practices.
• Familiarity with industrial maintenance parts and electrical components preferred.
• Experience working with inventory management systems, purchasing systems, or enterprise resource planning software.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience researching parts, reviewing specifications, and resolving inventory discrepancies.
• Ability to build effective working relationships with vendors, buyers, and maintenance technicians.
• Proficiency using Microsoft Office applications.
