MRO Facilities Operations Supervisor

What success looks like

1. Operational excellence: Coordinate all facilities maintenance—building and equipment—to meet and exceed service levels.
2. Reliability-first mindset: Stand up and administer PM programs for new assets; refine existing PMs.
3. Team leadership: Guide custodial associates and provide day-to-day direction, feedback, and development.
4. Inventory stewardship: Maintain accurate, right-sized spare parts inventories.
5. Knowledge sharing: Trade insights and best practices with peer CFCs.
6. Safety + compliance: Promote safe work practices; ensure OSHA compliance and stable climate control.
7. Cross-functional partnership: Build relationships and contribute on multi-department teams.
8. Preparedness: Keep hazardous materials logs current and evacuation procedures actionable.
9. Continuous improvement: Use assessments to mitigate risk and drive improvement.
10. Culture carrier: Embody MSC’s mission and values; manage hiring, reviews, development, and separations per the MSC Code of Conduct.
11. Fiscal impact: Help shape OpEx and capital budgets for facility equipment.
12. Hands-on agility: Jump in for pest removal and electrical/mechanical repairs as needed.
13. Customer focus: Support flexibility—temporary reassignment to other warehouse functions may occur to meet service requirements.
14. Versatility: Contribute to special projects and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of directly related experience.

Capabilities

• Foundational computer skills.
• Expert knowledge of industrial electrical systems (motors, starters, switchgear).
• Mechanical proficiency with bearings, shafts, speed reducers, sprinkler and similar systems.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including on-call coverage.
• Skilled at translating technical details into clear guidance for maintenance teams.
• Effective written and verbal communication.
• Working knowledge of HVAC.
• Comprehensive understanding of OSHA regulations.
• Proficiency in supervisory experience, troubleshooting industrial automation equipment, industrial electrical systems, and maintenance.

Physical & Other

• Frequent bending; ability to lift 25–50 lbs.
• Comfort operating at heights up to 50 feet.
• Standing for prolonged periods.
• On-call 24/7; valid state driver’s license may be required.

Rewards

Compensation starting at $51,800 - $77,000, based on location and experience.

The salary range represented is based on similar roles in comparable industries, and the cost of labor in respective cities. Actual compensation is based on the candidate's relevant experience, education requirements and peer pay equity. The Company reserves the right to modify the range as market conditions change.
