POSITION PURPOSE:
The MRO Business Manager is responsible to the Chief Operating Officer for the management of the active commercial operations of the Repair Station. Responsible for assisting the Chief Operating Officer and General Manager in the overall operation of the Repair Station. Support in the growth of the Repair Station business and in the support of the customers. This includes strategic planning and operational profitability in the sales and development of new products. Support of customers includes on-site and off-site customer relations.
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
- Assists the Chief Operating Officer and General Manager in the support and operations of the company
- Interfaces between the Shop and Accounting for preparation of Customer interim Invoicing and or Pro Forma Invoices for customers to pay from prior to project completion and or departure.
- Interfaces with customers on an ongoing basis for business and financial aspects.4.
- Assists the General Manager in preparation of Customer quotes and schedules as required.
- Aids the COO in the preparation and update of the business plan that includes specific aircraft Modification and Alteration Programs as well as market opportunities for the Repair Station.
- Oversees the maintenance and repair of the Repair Station facilities and IT equipment.
- Compose and finalize complex correspondence, legal documents, memorandums, emails, proposals, and reports. Manage personnel under his direction.
- Negotiate various contracts and agreements, using experience and judgment to determine what should be included in each document.
- Assist in basic Work Order audit functions for budgetary use in the operation of the Repair Station.
- Monitor revenues and expenses to ensure compliance with any established budget.
- Assist in the oversight that all personnel are operating in a safe environment.
- Assist Management in issues of Policy and Procedure and assistance with transition of any new Policies and Procedures. Acts as Authorized Signatory person for airport security badges. Interfaces with the Transportation Security Personnel on all security concerns.
- Assist in the completion of work orders, FAA paperwork and billing items.
- Work with Department Managers on production issues, including quality, facilities, equipment and processes.
- Develop plans for Forecasting and Marketing Strategies for the repair of aircraft, engines, components and equipment.
