Committed to providing excellence in diagnostic imaging, Prime Imaging is on a mission to be the best diagnostic Imaging provider.  Our facility is currently looking for an experienced MRI/X-ray Technologist to join our team for Thursdays and Saturdays.



Responsibilities


MRI Technologist / MRI Tech / MRI
 
The MRI Technologist will:
  • Perform examinations to ensure the quality and continuity of patient care
  • Assist with the workflow of the department to ensure the completion of work assignments
  • Demonstrate knowledge, understanding, and competency in clinical area of the practice
  • Demonstrate the ability to use all channels of communication to address inter- and intradepartmental concerns, solve problems, and address conflict.
  • Comply with clinical accreditation requirements and submission​ deadlines
  • Assist with clinical accreditation applications and inspections
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Administer IV contrast on exams that request it. (When applicable) 
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationship with patients, medical staff and the public
  • Maintain a safe and appropriate work area. Maintain inventory of supplies.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
QUALIFICATIONS:


Education: 


·         High school diploma or equivalent. 
·         Completion of an accredited Radiology program required 
·         Certification/Licensure: 1. National registration with the American Registry of Radiology Technologists. (AART) 
·         Current CPR certification for Health Care Providers. 
·         Experience: Minimum one (1) years experience in MRI and X-ray.


Skills: 


·         Ability to properly position patients to provide quality imaging. 
·         Ability to work independently. 
·         Complete understanding of MRI applications. 
·         Ability to operate equipment.
·         Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, management and peers. 
·         Strong organizational and interpersonal skills including the ability to manage interactions with difficult people. 
·         Excellent telephone skills


Other Requirements:


·         Knowledge of current medical terminology. 
·         Knowledge of imaging techniques to perform routine tests. 
·         Knowledge of imaging equipment and testing to perform quality control checks and troubleshooting of instrumentation. 
·         Ability to multi-task efficiently and effectively. 
·         Ability to communicate effectively in the English language in person, by phone and in writing.
·         Requires adherence to all policies and procedures, including standards for safety, attendance, punctuality and personal appearance. 
·         Maintain current CPR.
