Position Overview: This is a PRN position with various shifts. Shifts include days, evenings, and weekends. Set hours will be discussed in interview.
Pre-employment Requirements:
- We are a drug free facility. Passing a pre-employment drug screening is required.
Job Requirements and Responsibilities:
- Must be a second year Radiology Student or ARRT certified.
- General knowledge of diagnostic MRI principles, procedures, views, and equipment, including some experience responding to traumas and various hospital emergencies.
- Ability to perform complex tasks associated with the operation of high-field strength magnets and related equipment and produce radiographic images of specific body parts.
- Ability to analyze patient histories and complete screenings for pacemakers or other objects that may cause injuries during the exam.
- Accurately maintain patient records within Radiology Information System (RIS).
- Ability to acquire IV access to patients needing contrasted studies.
- Provide appropriate patient care and recognize conditions essential for successful completion of the procedure.
- Maintain patient confidentiality; comply with HIPAA and compliance guidelines.
- Responsible for maintaining continued education as required for professional licensure.
- Must be able to comply with government regulations to ensure the safety of the staff and patients as well as evaluate the scans for technical quality.
