The MRI Technologist will be instrumental in performing MRI exams with precision and care, ensuring optimal diagnostic results while maintaining a focus on patient safety and comfort.

Responsibilities

  • Perform MRI procedures according to established protocols, ensuring quality and efficiency.
  • Escort patients to treatment areas, assisting with dressings and addressing patient concerns.
  • Complete all necessary documentation for timely service delivery.
  • Explain procedures to patients to alleviate concerns and facilitate cooperation.
  • Administer I.V. contrast and practice radiation safety measures.
  • Assist radiologists with special procedures such as arthrograms.
  • Conduct quality control checks, monitor equipment performance, and report malfunctions.
  • Maintain a professional, courteous, and patient-centered approach in all interactions.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent from a recognized technical school or college.
  • ARRT (R) and (MR) certification, along with Connecticut licensure.
  • At least two years of clinical experience with all MRI procedure types.
  • Experience with Siemens or GE MRI systems preferred.
  • Ability to operate independently with strong attention to detail and patient safety.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
