Job Title: MRI Technologist
Location: New York, NY
Duration: 2 months Contract
Schedule: Friday, Saturday, Sunday 8a-8p
Hourly rate: $71/ hour on W2 Negotiable
Role & Core Duties

• Procedure Execution: Operates specialized equipment to perform MRI imaging, evaluating images for technical quality and transmitting them to PACS.
• Patient Care & Safety: Positions patients and coils, provides procedure education, and strictly reviews safety questionnaires before entering the MRI room to prevent ferromagnetic hazards.
• System & Clerical Work: Accurately labels images, records tracking data, schedules exams, and completes studies in IDX (Radiology Information System).
• Maintenance & Support: Ensures room and equipment cleanliness, manages supplies, reports needed repairs, and assists physicians directly as required.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Technical Knowledge: Strong foundation in cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, physical sciences, and MRI physics.
• Licensure: Must maintain active, good-standing licensure specific to the role (including Article 28/Public Health Code compliance).
• Clinical Judgment: Sound technical judgment to deliver high-quality diagnostic studies tailored to patient needs.

Preferred Experience

• Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of MRI experience.
