    Job Overview

    TE Connectivitys Quality and Reliability Engineering Teams analyze the ability of product and production systemsto comply with customer and contractual requirements through established reliability factors. They design,recommend revisions and install quality control systems, develop and document analytical methods forestablishing reliability of products and their components and conduct analysis on relative reliability with regards tocost, structure, weight, maintainability, facility of production, and availability of materials and equipment. Outteams develop, implement and monitor company environmental safety programs and policies to ensurecompliance with federal, state, and local environmental, health and safety regulations and recommend correctiveactions if necessary. They are responsible for policies and practices to comply with applicable governmentregulations and industry requirements related to product environmental compliance, the implementation andmanagement of technical and testing standards and specifications, quality control and reliability programsgoverning materials, product and processes, resulting in the optimization of material and labor, as well as failureanalysis, root cause, corrective action and customer communication.

    Job Requirements

    Conducts assigned inspection and testing activities consistent with quality policies, procedures, and standards.

    Performing in-process and final inspections in accordance with the defined inspection plans.

    Creates software programs for semi-automated and automated inspections on vision and touch probemachines.

    Uses precision measuring instruments and makes, or assists in making, precision inspection set-ups.

    Trains new employees in the use of equipment and on inspection procedure.

    Reviews inspection equipment and methods utilized by manufacturing personnel and offersassistance/recommendations as needed.

    Where needed, creates work instructions for the use of inspection program and use of fixtures.

    Works safely and complies with all established safety rules and work practices.

    Complies with Company, department, and quality polices and procedures as applicable.

    Keeps the Quality Supervisor informed of job-related problems and other information related to work activity.

    Maintains a positive work attitude and promotes a team approach throughout the Department.

    Assist in the design of fixturing for use in inspection department, primarily for CMMs

    Performs related work as apparent or assigned.

    What your background should look like

    High school education or equivalent is required, plus at least 3 years of appropriate technical training including geometricdimensioning and tolerancing preferred.

    At least 2 years of first piece and in-process mechanical inspection experience in a close tolerance machiningjob shop environment preferred.

    Desired measurement programming education/certificate. OGP experience preferred.

    Proficient in Microsoft base applications.

    Knowledge of and experience with surface plate inspection, small tool mechanical measurements, andcoordinate measuring machines.

    Ability to work from blueprints, inspection specifications, and/or written or verbal instructions.

    COMPENSATION

    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $49,000 $73,400 (subject to change dependent on physical location)

    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.

    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
