    Position Location

    This position will be located in Washington DC, Maryland or Virginia.

    Job Overview

    The MPC Manager oversees all operations within the MPC unit, ensuring that daily activities are carried out efficiently, accurately, and in full compliance with contract requirements, organizational policies, and operational standards. The Manager provides leadership, directs personnel, coordinates workflow, resolves operational challenges, and ensures the MPC is properly staffed, equipped, and prepared to meet mission requirements. The position requires strong organizational skills, sound judgment, and the ability to manage time‑sensitive workloads.

    Responsibilities

    Essential Job Duties:

    • Manage, supervise, and coordinate the daily operations of the MPC.
    • Oversee MPC personnel, including assigning tasks, directing workflow, monitoring performance, and ensuring compliance with established standards and procedures.
    • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all MPC service functions and operational requirements.
    • Ensure timely and accurate processing, handling, and distribution of materials and items managed through the MPC.
    • Provide training, guidance, and performance feedback to staff; ensure new employees understand task requirements, safety standards, and operating procedures.
    • Resolve operational problems, personnel issues, and workflow bottlenecks; escalate issues to senior leadership when appropriate.
    • Ensure proper use, maintenance, and availability of MPC equipment, systems, and supplies.
    • Maintain records, productivity data, workload statistics, and other documentation required for reporting purposes.
    • Coordinate with supervisors, COR, program managers, and other units to support mission requirements and address operational changes.
    • Review procedures regularly and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
    • Ensure the MPC area is organized, secure, and maintained in a clean and orderly condition.
    • Perform other duties as assigned to support MPC operations.

    Job Requirements

    Mandatory:

    • Strong supervisory experience with the ability to manage personnel, workflow, and high‑volume operations.
    • Comprehensive knowledge of MPC functions, equipment, and procedures (aligned to your specific MPC environment).
    • Ability to exercise sound, independent judgment in daily operations.
    • Effective communication skills and ability to interact professionally with staff, management, and program officials.
    • Demonstrated ability to solve operational problems and maintain productivity under time‑sensitive conditions.
    • Working knowledge of necessary computer systems, software, and automated processing tools.
    • Ability to collect, track, and analyze operational data for workload and productivity reports.
    • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and commitment to operational compliance.
