Qualifying Questions:

Summary:
Authors non?destructive test (NDT) procedures for commercial and defense aircraft.
Incorporates revisions authored by method Responsible Level III in the standard procedure review process.
Develops Computer Assisted Drawings (CAD) of specialized calibration standards.
Performs setup for non?destructive test or measurement equipment to calibration standards.
Composes procedure figures providing information on inspection location, geometry, accessibility, probe/transducer placement, and notch signal response.
Reports potential adverse trends or anomalous results.
Supports commercial and defense aircraft including 737, 747, 767, 777, 787, KC?46, and B?1B.
Works with ultrasonic testing (UT) and eddy current testing (ET) methods.
Supports advanced NDT methods including Phased Array UT, Shear?wave UT, and Eddy Current Array.
Requirements:
Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 20 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
5+ years of education and work experience in NDT.
Current certification from American Society for Nondestructive Testing (ASNT)/NAS410 Compliant Level 3 in ET or UT.
Proficient in MS Office Suite.
Can provide documentation of certified NDT hours.
Ability to work variable shifts, overtime, and weekends as necessary.
Ability to travel up to 15% of the time.
Ability to work in confined spaces.
Preferred: 10+ years of related work experience or equivalent combination.
Preferred: Level 3 certification in ET, UT, or RT with additional method certification; experience with Phased Array UT, Shear?wave UT, immersion UT, Eddy Current Array, LFEC, film, CR, DR, and CT methods; and CAD software proficiency.
