Benefits:
Moving and Packing Technician
Paul Davis Restoration
Paul Davis Restoration is looking for a dependable, hard-working Moving and Packing Technician to join our team. This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys physical work, variety, and being part of a team that helps people recover after water, fire, and other property damage.
This is not a position where you will do the same thing every day. Your primary responsibilities will involve moving, handling, storing, and cleaning customers' furniture and personal property. However, you will also assist our Emergency Services and Mitigation teams with demolition, equipment setup, warehouse operations, and other restoration work as needed.
We are looking for someone who is willing to jump in wherever the team needs help and takes pride in getting the job done correctly.
What You'll Do
Carefully move furniture, boxes, and personal property from homes and businesses
Load and unload moving trucks safely and efficiently
Pack and unpack customer contents
Load, unload, organize, and move content storage vaults
Move furniture and personal property through our cleaning and restoration process
Assist with cleaning and processing contents affected by water, fire, smoke, or other property damage
Operate a forklift to move vaults, equipment, and materials
Maintain an organized warehouse and contents storage area
Assist the Emergency Services and Mitigation teams when needed
Help with demolition and removal of damaged building materials
Set up, move, and remove drying and restoration equipment
Maintain trucks, equipment, tools, and work areas
Complete other hands-on restoration and warehouse tasks as needed
What We're Looking For
The right person for this position is someone who:
Is dependable and shows up ready to work
Enjoys physical, hands-on work
Works well as part of a team
Is willing to move between different responsibilities throughout the day
Can follow instructions and established processes
Treats customers' homes and belongings with care and respect
Can safely lift and move furniture, boxes, equipment, and other materials
Is comfortable working in homes, businesses, warehouses, and active restoration projects
Is willing to work in environments that may be dirty, wet, dusty, or damaged
Has a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
Can pass required background screening
Forklift, moving, warehouse, construction, demolition, restoration, or general labor experience is helpful, but we are willing to train the right person.
What Success Looks Like
Success in this position isn't just about being able to lift and move with contents with care and someone the team can count on.
You'll be successful if you take care of customers' belongings, work safely, keep the warehouse and trucks organized, help projects move forward, and are willing to step into different roles when the workload changes.
Some days you'll spend most of your time moving and processing contents. Other days you may be helping a mitigation crew remove damaged materials, setting up drying equipment, loading trucks, or organizing the warehouse.
If you're looking for an active job with variety and want to be part of a team that helps people recover from property damage, we'd like to hear from you.
