As a Charter Driver, you will provide safe, reliable, and comfortable transportation services to a diverse clientele. Your responsibilities include operating a 56-passenger bus, ensuring timely pickups, and maintaining safe transportation practices. Responsibilities: - Pick up passengers at assigned locations promptly
- Complete pre/post-trip bus inspections for each shift
- Follow all traffic laws and regulations
- Complete required written reports
- Follow assigned routes and make designated stops
- Assist passengers with luggage as needed
- Ensure the safety of passengers, surrounding vehicles, pedestrians, and bicyclists
- Maintain proper and clean attire
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors
Qualifications: - Airbrakes endorsement (Required)
- Passenger Endorsement (Required)
- School Bus certificate (a plus)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience driving charter buses
- Ability to pass pre-employment background checks, drug screens, DOT physicals, and MVR checks
- Proficiency in utilizing GPS and electronic hours-of-service tracking technology.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Ability to communicate clearly by telephone, two-way radio, and in person
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to understand and take instruction both verbally and written
Physical Qualifications: - Able to lift and move baggage (up to 50 lbs.), maneuver up and down stairs, and repeatedly bend, kneel, and stretch
- Able to remain stationary (sitting) for extended periods
