Pay Range: $123,884.10 - $137,649.00. Final salary is dependent on a candidate's experience and qualifications.

Summary of Responsibilities
This position will be responsible for the Leadership, Direction and Coaching of the Mortgage Underwriting and Processing teams through management and direct oversight of Mortgage Fulfillment activities. This role will provide support and approval for team members on standard underwriting, processing, special projects and may conduct research, analysis, and underwriting for unique or complex applications to ensure on time closing of Mortgage loans. The Underwriting Manager will be a team leader, directing the activities of associate-level and junior-level underwriters while supporting risk management and financial due diligence. This position requires an excellent balance of team leadership, administrative, and financial analysis skills to independently conduct risk assessments and underwriting.
Education:
(1) A bachelor's degree, or (2) achievement of formal certifications recognized in the industry as equivalent to a bachelor's degree.
Experience:
Five years to eight years of similar or related experience.
Knowledge and Skills:
Ability to manage, inspire, and assist associate-level and junior-level personnel with experience conducting financial oversight activities, analyzing financial projections, and assessing risk for complex loan applications. Must be Subject Matter Expert in Fannie Mae, Jumbo, Home Equity and Non-QM underwriting requirements, including multi-state lending and AUS buildout. Strong written and verbal communication skills to convey information to their teams and to upper management regarding complex situations and risk analysis. Ability to examine and assess internal processes, identifying areas where practices can be improved and enhanced to maximize efficiency.
