Overview:

The Mortgage Support Manager plays a critical role in supporting Mortgage Loan Originators (MLOs) by providing expert guidance on complex loan scenarios and resolving issues that may impede loan progression.

This role also oversees the administration of the Bank’s Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) licensing and registration program, ensuring full compliance with the Secure and Fair Enforcement for Mortgage Licensing (SAFE) Act, Nationwide Multistate Licensing System (NMLS) requirements, and applicable federal and state regulations.

Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a primary escalation point for MLOs, providing solutions to complex loan structuring and processing challenges
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues that may delay or prevent loan progression
  • Manage end-to-end MLO licensing and registration activities through the Nationwide Multistate Licensing System (NMLS)
  • Coordinate onboarding and offboarding processes related to MLO licensing, sponsorships, and regulatory filings
  • Monitor and maintain active licenses, including renewals, continuing education requirements, and annual attestations
  • Track and interpret regulatory changes impacting SAFE Act and MLO licensing requirements, and communicate updates to stakeholders
  • Partner cross-functionally with compliance, operations, and sales teams to ensure seamless execution
  • Perform other duties as assigned 
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in mortgage licensing, compliance, banking operations, or financial services administration
  • Strong knowledge of SAFE Act requirements, NMLS processes, and mortgage regulatory compliance
  • Experience supporting mortgage sales and/or operations teams, with a strong understanding of workflow coordination and transaction lifecycles
  • Working knowledge of Encompass loan origination system, including navigation, data entry, and pipeline management
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve complex issues within a regulated environment
  • Exceptional attention to detail, with strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams

Compensation: The base pay range for this position is USD $90,000.00/Yr. - USD $130,000.00/Yr. Exact offers will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
