Position Title: Mortgage Loan Compliance Specialist
Reports to: UCMS Residential Mortgage Compliance Officer

SUMMARY:
Specialized focus on HMDA with withdrawn & declined files and preparing upfront disclosures for mortgage loans.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma
Good communication skills
HMDA/disclosure experience preferred
Excellent organizational skills
Proficient at Word, Excel, etc. with ability to become proficient with other bank computer systems (Navigator, Director, Datatac, Docutech, etc.)
Participate in all required compliance training, including Bank Secrecy Act/anti-money laundering training, as well as internal and external training programs, online training, meetings, and seminars/conferences, etc.
JOB FUNCTIONS:
Responsible for logging all withdrawn and decline files into Underwriting and entering HDMA data on each
Responsible for day to day monitoring of decline files to ensure handled timely and accurately completed Responsible for communication with the bank and underwriting staff regarding accuracy of documents received
Responsible for day to day monitoring of withdrawn files and ensure they are handled timely and accurately completed. Responsible for communications to bank staff regarding the accuracy of applications, checklists, and documentation, as well as monitoring for any trends, suspicious activity, fraud, etc.
Work with bank compliance department to monitor and ensure accuracy of HDMA reports. And handle any corrections needed
Responsible for reviewing the AAN (adverse action notices) received that the bank/underwriting personnel prepares to ensure compliance and accuracy
Prepare monthly reports on number of decline and withdrawn files received and errors
Prepare any communications to manager and/or senior management and banks regarding errors or training needed
Responsible for quarterly monitoring of any missing HMDA information
Prepare upfront disclosures (GFE, TIL, and all required disclosures) for mortgage loan officers as needed
Stay abreast of all compliance regarding disclosures and change of circumstances affecting re-disclosures, etc.
Complete all required training, including mortgage overall training for a big picture view of mortgage to help in this position. Comply with all Bank, mortgage investor, and federal and state policies, procedures and legal requirements
Learn to provide back up for the disclosure underwriter (review disclosures) and logging in files received for Underwriting
