GetWyz Mortgage is an independent mortgage broker and a subsidiary of GetWyz, the Homeownership planning platform founded by Bob Curtis, who built MoneyGuide, financial planning software used by more than 100,000 financial advisors across the U.S. As a broker, we compare our lender network to match each buyer with the loan that best fits their financial situation.

We’re looking for a Mortgage Coordinator, a mortgage processing role with real client contact, to work closely with our Mortgage Guides and move loan files from application through closing with accuracy and care.

This is not a back-office job. You’ll talk to buyers directly, and often. The Guide’s handle the licensed work, the loan itself and the conversations about rates and terms. You own everything else the buyer experiences: what they need to send, where their file stands, what happens next, and when. The promise we make to every buyer is that they hear from us before they have to ask, at whatever level of contact they want, all the way to closing. You’re a big part of keeping it.

This is a fit for someone who knows mortgage documentation cold, is comfortable converting mortgage jargon to understandable actions, and wants a buyer relationship rather than a queue of files.

Why this role:

As GetWyz Mortgage grows, the Mortgage Coordinator plays a critical role in creating a dependable, buyer-centered process. You will help define how files are reviewed, documented, conditioned, and cleared, and partner with the Guides to find process gaps and improve the buyer journey.

Where this is going:

GetWyz Mortgage is early. A small team in Midlothian today, more states and more lenders over the next few years. You’re joining early enough that how this works is still being decided, and the people here now are the ones deciding it.

What a day looks like:

• Partner with the Mortgage Guides to review new loan files, gather required documentation, and make sure each file is complete and ready for lender submission.
• Communicate with buyers to request documents, clarify outstanding items, and provide updates before they have to chase them.
• Coordinate with lenders, title companies, insurance agents, appraisal partners, and other third parties to resolve conditions and keep loans progressing toward closing.
• Track milestones, deadlines, and outstanding conditions across the pipeline, escalating issues early and keeping internal partners informed.
• Review documentation for accuracy and consistency, including income, assets, credit, disclosures, purchase contracts, title, insurance, and closing-related items.
• Support a clean, compliant, buyer-friendly process by maintaining organized files, accurate notes, and clear handoffs between the Guides, lender partners, and closing teams.

We’re looking for:

• 2+ years of mortgage processing experience, ideally with purchase transactions and broker or correspondent lending exposure.
• Working knowledge of conventional, FHA, and VA loan documentation requirements, underwriting conditions, and common closing milestones.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple loan files, deadlines, and buyer communications without losing track of the next step.
• Genuinely enjoy helping people. This role talks to buyers regularly, so communicating comfortably via email or on the phone matters as much as accuracy in the file.
• Comfort in a technology-forward environment, including loan origination systems, document management, buyer portals, and collaborative workflow tools.
• Based in the Midlothian, VA area. You’ll start full-time in the office. Once you’re up to speed in the role, the schedule shifts to hybrid, in-office Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Salary Range:

The salary range for this role is $65,000 to $85,000 annually. This range represents a good-faith estimate of the compensation we expect to offer for this position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be based on factors such as relevant experience, skills, qualifications, and internal equity. In exceptional cases, compensation may exceed the stated range. All full-time employees are eligible to participate in our annual incentive bonus program.

• Licensing and Education: While licensing for this role is not required at this time, we reimburse pre-licensing and continuing education expenses and NMLS license fees that may occur as you grow with the company.
