Description

Your morning appointments will include someone who’s thrilled you’re here and someone who would like to speak to your manager about breakfast. Neither can operate a door, so you have some leverage.

Charleston Dog Walker is hiring part-time dog walkers and pet sitters for morning visits. We’ve been caring for local pets since 2015. If a happy dog, a quiet walk, and a cat who eventually forgives you sound like a good start to your day, we’d love to meet you.

They have a morning routine. You make it happen.

You’ll provide walks, potty breaks, feeding, fresh water, medications as instructed, and cat care—including litter cleanup.

You notice when a dog seems off, a water bowl needs washing, or the feeding instructions don’t match what’s on the counter. You ask questions and check with your manager instead of guessing. A convincing speech from a hungry Labrador does not count as updated feeding instructions.

A few things need to line up:

  • Your schedule: You’re consistently available from 7–9 a.m. on at least three weekdays. Available Monday–Friday? Even better. Morning-only availability is welcome; additional midday, evening, or weekend hours are a bonus.
  • Your location: You currently live in James Island, Downtown Charleston, Johns Island, Folly Beach, or Avondale. Address eligibility is confirmed during hiring; commuting from outside our service area doesn’t qualify. You’ll drive between homes and may receive assignments throughout the service area.
  • Your plans: You want ongoing work for at least six months, ideally much longer, and enjoy the idea of becoming a familiar, trusted person in the pets’ lives.
