About the Role:North Shore Learning Inc is looking for a passionate and nurturing Montessori Teacher's Assistant to join our dedicated team in Huntington Station, NY! Responsibilities:- Assist lead Montessori teacher in delivering hands-on, child-led learning experiences
- Supervise and engage with students during classroom activities, transitions, and outdoor play
- Prepare and maintain Montessori materials and a well-organized classroom environment
- Observe and document individual student progress and developmental milestones
- Support children's social-emotional development through positive guidance and encouragement
- Communicate effectively with lead teachers, staff, and parents as needed
- Help maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming classroom environment
Requirements:- Prior experience working with young children in a classroom or childcare setting preferred
- Familiarity with Montessori philosophy and methods is a plus
- Warm, patient, and nurturing demeanor with a genuine love for children
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- High school diploma or equivalent required; early childhood education coursework a plus
- Ability to pass a background check and meet state childcare requirements
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to professional growth in early childhood education
