Description

Anticipated Start Date: September 17, 2026

Schedule/Hours: 5 days per week/6.5 hours a day

Contract/Salary: Annual Contract - 194 Days (10 paid holidays included)/Hourly - Non-Rep Salary Placement ($40.17 - $46.35 per hour - current school year rate based on qualifications), SEBB insurance, PFML, Washington DRS, paid days off (12 sick days and 2 personal days)

Qualifications:

  • Valid Washington State License LPN required, RN preferred
  • Previous school nurse experience working with children/students, including students with disabilities, preferred
  • Ability to work with children and provide nurturing care
  • Valid WA State Driver's license and evidence of insurability
  • Hep B Series 3 vaccination/MMR series/Immunity
  • CPR/First Aid Certificate
  • Effective communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, faculty, and administrators
  • Ability to accurately complete job duties with minimal supervision
  • WSP/FBI background clearance
  • Bilingual Spanish preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Administer first aid, medication and specialized medical treatment for the purpose of providing appropriate care for ill, medically fragile and/or injured children
  • Development of individual and emergency health care plans for the purpose of addressing student health needs and implementing health care directions from parents and/or physicians
  • Assist in screening programs such as hearing and vision, blood pressure and athletic physicals as needed
  • Conduct training and reporting as needed

General Knowledge Skills & Abilities:

  • Adequate physical strength must be able to lift a minimum of 35 lbs up to 50lbs
  • Physical demands of job may include, but not limited to: significant lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling; frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; and significant fine finger dexterity
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and computer usage
