Monitor Tech - 12 Hour, Telemetry (PT, Nights) Monterey Park Hospital

Responsibilities: The Monitor Tech continuously monitors patients’ cardiac rhythms, properly reports and documents patients’ rhythms, maintains and monitors proper functioning of Telemetry equipment, checks and documents all Telemetry alarms, and has the ability to perform additional duties as determined by management. Overview:

Monterey Park Hospital, a 101-acute care facility located in the San Gabriel Valley of Los Angeles County, is seeking a Monitor Tech for our Telemetry Department. This is a per diem, 12-hour night shift position reporting to the Director of Critical Care Services. 

Responsibilities:

The Monitor Tech continuously monitors patients’ cardiac rhythms, properly reports and documents patients’ rhythms, maintains and monitors proper functioning of Telemetry equipment, checks and documents all Telemetry alarms, and has the ability to perform additional duties as determined by management.

Qualifications:

1. Monitor Technician Certification required.
2. Current BLS from the American Heart Association is required. 
3. One year of working experience as a Monitor Tech at an acute care hospital is preferred.

Annual Requirement: 

1. Successfully passes the annual arrhythmias interpretation competency.
