    This opportunity is for a Per Diem Lab Technician for our Ridgewood, NJ Molecular Lab.

    The Molecular Lab Technician shall perform the professional and administrative services as may be necessary for processing and reporting specimens of the Pathology Lab, without limitation, as deemed necessary by the organization.
     
    Essential Functions, Job Duties & Responsibilities:
    • Collect, process, and analyze samples in accordance with Employer policies and applicable law
    • Maintain equipment and assist in ordering laboratory supplies, and advise Employer as to suitability of equipment
    • Coordinate services and policies of the Lab
    • Organize and store chemicals substances, and fluids according to safety instructions
    • Without limiting the generality of the foregoing:
      • Assist in the development and implementation of such quality systems appropriate for all Laboratory Developed Polymerase Chain Reaction tests ("LDTs")
      • Monitor and report on the analytic performance of LDTs being performed by Employer
      • Establish performance criteria, including accuracy and precision of each LDT test and system
    • Performs other duties as assigned.
    Education & Experience:
    • Bachelor's degree or higher in Medical Technology or related field required
    • Must be certified by ASCP or AMT
    • 2-4 years of Laboratory experience

    • Laboratory Equipment Operation
    • Laboratory Practice Quality Assurance (LPQA)
    • Laboratory Results Reporting
    • Microscopy
    • Medical Specialty: Pathology
    • Laboratory Information Management System (LMIS) Software
    • Must demonstrate proficiency in the English language (TOEL) or (IELTS)
    Physical Requirements:
    • Prolonged periods of standing
    • Clinical laboratory work experience
    • Must be able to lift to 25 pounds at times.
